It is presented at the time of Dastar Bandhi ceremony – a religious ceremony in which a teenaged Sikh boy is tied turban on his forehead for the first time.

The inner sword is made of stainless steel. To add to the beauty, the outer frame is pasted with embroidered silk with a golden polished handle made of brass. The silk is specially done with Dubka work.
